Our passion for foreign work began in High School where both of us went on outreach trips to various countries with the Abbott Loop POSSE youth group.
For the first few years of our marriage we were actively involved at Abbott Loop in the areas of music and worship. In 2003 we led a short-term trip to Peru.
In 2004 we attended a language school in Mexico to learn Spanish in order to prepare us for full-time work in Latin America. We then worked in Venezuela with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), staffing a Musician¹s Discipleship Training School and leading an outreach team to Argentina.
In 2005, God directed us to work with YWAM Panama where we pioneered our ministry “Proyecto Sonidos de la Selva”, starting the vision God had placed on our heart in the area of cultural redemption.

The goal of Proyecto Sonidos de la Selva or “Project Sounds of the Jungle” is to see every indigenous people group of Panama have the opportunity to know God and to worship Him in their own cultural way. We are partnering with other local workers and ministries, running song-writing workshops and teaching seminars in order to reach and disciple these people groups and also empower them to share the Gospel with their own people.
As a result of this ministry, whole people groups are catching the passion and vision to evangelize their own people, and are coming alive using the music and arts that God has given to their culture. We are seeing much interest and fruit grow out of this work that God has given us.

- For God to open up doors for firm connections in each people group so that we can work in the most efficient way.
- For the ministry to have a solid infrastructure on which to grow for the future of the ministry.
- Health for the Henry family as they live in the tropics (against infections, diseases, epidemics).
