Spirit-filled worship
ALCC endeavors to provide worship experiences that are Spirit-filled. At the same time, we respect those among us who do not understand or are uncomfortable with such things. While more freedom of expression in worship may be given in small groups; in larger groups, order is more of a consideration.
However, we recognize that, in the Bible, there are many valid expressions of worship:
- Singing (Ps. 96:1-2; Eph. 5:19)
- Kneeling (Psalm 95:6; Mark 15:19)
- Clapping hands (Psalm 47:1)
- Musical instruments (Psalm 150)
- Raising hands (Psalm 63:4; 1 Tim. 2:8)
- Laying down (2 Chron. 7:3; Rev. 5:8,14)
- Dancing (Psalm 149:3)
- Speaking or singing in tongues (Acts 2:4,11; 1 Cor. 14:15)
